OPENING TIP
South's six-game winning streak is its longest since the Jags recorded six consecutive victories from Feb. 16-March 9, 2008.
This marks the first time since the 2012-13 season — when USA went 14-6 — that the Jags have posted a double-figure win total in Sun Belt action.
The Jaguars are looking for their 10th win at the Mitchell Center this season; with a victory it would be the fourth year in a row that they have complied a double-digit victory total at home, the longest streak since doing so four straight seasons from 2005-06 through '08-09.
Richie Riley picked up his 35th victory guiding the program last time out at Coastal Carolina, matching the number of wins he recorded in two full seasons at Nicholls prior to coming to South.
Trhae Mitchell has now scored in double figures in six of the Jags' last eight contests — posting averages of 15.6 points and 6.9 rebounds per game during that stretch — after finishing with 21 in Conway.
The senior has recorded 10 or more points in each of the last four outings, his longest stretch since accomplishing the feat in four straight games from Nov. 19-27.
Lott led the Jaguars in both scoring and rebounding for the first time this season at CCU, with the performance his first with 20-plus points since he scored 20 on Jan. 6 at UTA.
South has had two individuals score 20 or more points in the same game on four occasions this year, with two of those performances coming in the last two weeks after Lott and Mitchell turned the trick in the defeat of the Chanticleers.
Andre Fox has averaged 15.0 points and made 2.6 three-point field goals per outing the last seven games, scoring in double figures on each of those occasions.
John Pettway has contributed 34 points in the team's last four victories — going 14-of-21 (66.7%) from the field during that stretch — after missing the previous three contests due to injury, while over the last three outings he has been credited with 10 steals.
Eleven of the Jags' last 12 contests have been decided by a single-digit margin.
USA has scored 70 or more points in five of its six victories during its current streak.

The Jaguars recorded a season-best 13 steals at Coastal Carolina, the second occasion in the last three contests they have reached double digits in the category.
It was just the second time in 2019-20 that the Jags have forced the opposition into 20 or more turnovers., which helped lead to a season-best 23 fast-break points on the other end of the floor.
