MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama Director of Athletics Dr. Joel Erdmann announced Wednesday promotions for a pair of members of the department's senior staff.

Jacob Ludwikowski will now serve as Senior Associate Athletic Director for Athletics Development while Chris Moore has been elevated to Associate Athletic Director for Compliance.

Ludwikowski began at South in August 2017 as Assistant Athletic Director, and after adding responsibilities as the Executive Director of the Jaguar Athletic Fund and sport supervisor of both the Jaguar men's and women's golf programs he was promoted to Associate Athletic Director last summer.  A 2007 graduate of Iowa State who received his Juris Doctor degree from Tulane in 2015, Ludwikowski was an Associate Athletic Director at New Orleans for five years prior to coming to USA.

"Jacob has grown our development program to one which is more sophisticated, strategic and driven by benchmarks and outcomes," Erdmann said.  "His interpersonal and organizational skills have taken our fundraising capabilities to a level we have not experienced before."

Moore was hired as Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance at USA in November 2014 after serving the previous three years as an Associate Athletic Director at Fresno Pacific.  He began in collegiate athletics as the Director of Compliance at Fresno State in 2003, and has also held Associate Athletic Director positions at Portland State for nearly four years as well as for two-and-a-half years at North Texas.  Moore received both his undergraduate and master's degrees from Southern Mississippi in 1999 and 2003, respectively.

"Chris has taken the lead in establishing a sense of stability and systematic process to our compliance efforts," said Erdmann.  "He has strengthened our ability to educate, monitor and act proactively in governance issues and rules compliance."
