MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama Department of Athletics announced Monday the launching of the J-Club, an official society for former letterwinners.

This exclusive organization is comprised of former Jaguar student-athletes who have lettered in their respective sport, as well as cheer, dance, graduate assistants, trainers and managers.

The primary goal of the J-Club is to keep former student-athletes engaged and involved in Jaguar athletics after their collegiate careers come to an end.  The J-Club can provide avenues for current student-athletes to have mentoring opportunities and networking nights with former student-athletes, as well as allowing athletic alumni to return to campus for alumni weekend gatherings.

"We are truly excited to launch the J-Club," Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development Jacob Ludwikowski said.  "We invite all former letterwinners to join us on Saturday at the VooDoo Wing Company at 12 p.m. for our official kickoff event, which includes complimentary tickets for the Jaguar basketball doubleheader against Troy beginning at 4 p.m., as well as the Jaguar baseball game at 1 p.m."
