OPENING TIP
Winners of three in a row for the third time this year, the Jaguars look to extend that streak to a season-best four straight victories against the Warhawks.

ULM picked up its first win since defeating the Jags in Monroe Jan. 4 at Troy on Thursday night.

With 20 points each in Thursday's win over Louisiana, Trhae Mitchell and Andre Fox became the first Jaguars to score 20 or more points in the same game since Josh Ajayi and Chad Lott accomplished the feat in a defeat of Miami (Ohio) at the Gulf Coast Showcase on Nov. 26.

Ajayi — one of four players to finish in double figures in USA's previous win at Troy Feb. 7, posting 20 points and 10 rebounds for his eighth double-double of the season — did not dress against the Ragin' Cajuns due to injury.

With the double-double, Ajayi moved into a tie for third with former Jag Virgil Stanescu in career double-doubles as he now has 27.

The 20-point outing for Ajayi was his ninth of the season, and he has finished in double figures in 10-straight appearances. Since being held to two points at Chattanooga on Nov. 15, he has finished in double figures 17 times.

The 6-foot-6 forward leads the Sun Belt in field-goal percentage (.579), is sixth in scoring (15.9) and ranks second in rebounding (7.8).

South has outscored the opposition by a 114-60 margin in the point during its current win streak.

Freshman guard Tyreke Locure has started the last four games in place of John Pettway (who was injured but returned in the victory over the Ragin' Cajuns). Over that stretch he has recorded double figures twice, including 12 points on 4-of-5 shooting at Troy; Locure also sank all three of his 3-point attempts against the Trojans.

Lott and Fox also come into the game having recorded double digits in five of the last six contests. Lott is tied for 16th in the SBC in scoring (13.1) and stands second in field-goal percentage (.548).

Fox is averaging 16.5 ppg the last four contests, and he now ranks second on the team with six outings with 20 or more points.
