THEY SAID IT
Head coach Nick Brochu

- On today's matches:
"First off, it felt good to play at home. We had a good turnout from our fans today. Secondly, it was two good wins for us today and I was really happy with the way the guys reacted to the changes in the lineup. We had some different doubles pairs, and pretty much everyone today played with a new partner in both matches. Our team chemistry was there today, which was something we had focused on; everyone had energy celebrating their teammates throughout the match, which raised everyone's level of play."
- On intensity of the two matches:
"We played Lamar as if it were the final of the conference tournament championship. In the second match against Nicholls, we decided to sit some players in order to give our freshmen a chance to step up at a higher position."
- On the improved play in doubles:
"We were very aggressive in doubles, which we had been lacking over the first three matches. It's been a weakness for us, but we've worked on that and today that hard work paid off. We played well on big points and won a lot of no-ads."
- On the play of Collard:
"I was very happy with the way Sébastien [Collard] was playing today. He gave us two big wins, two quick wins playing at the No. 4 and No. 3 spots. It was good for him because he's definitely capable playing big tennis. It's just a matter of him believing that he's capable of playing at those positions, and that's what he showed today.
- On building on today's wins heading back out on the road next weekend:
"Overall, our performance was good and we did what we needed to in order to win. Next weekend against Miami and Florida Atlantic, the level of play is going to be even higher, so we were trying to build our momentum towards that today."
