MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama strength and conditioning staff made one promotion and one addition for the 2019-20 academic year, as announced Wednesday by Senior Associate Athletic Director Jinni Frisbey.
Nick Kuhlman, hired in May 2018 as an assistant for strength and conditioning, has been promoted to Director of Strength and Conditioning for Athletics. Kuhlman designs and implements the intercollegiate strength and conditioning programs for women's basketball, women's soccer, and women's golf.
Christina Lodato was recently hired as Assistant Coach for Strength and Conditioning after serving in the same role for one year at the University of Tampa. Lodato completed internships at PRIDE Sports Performance in Oldsmar, Fla., at South Florida as a strength and conditioning intern as well as at the National Sports Performance Institute in Tampa, Fla.
Lodato, who lettered in softball at Saint Leo University in Saint Leo, Fla., earned her Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science, and went on to receive a Master of Science in exercise and nutrition science from the University of Tampa. Lodato will primarily work with Jaguar track and field and cross country, women's volleyball, and men's tennis teams.
