THEY SAID IT
Head Coach Richard Moodie
On what worked tonight: "Our energy levels are better, we have conviction going forward and we looked really good in the back again today. We have a little bit of belief now. We don't want to get complacent with the wins and the chances. There is definitely room for growth but I'm really happy with the way the girls played today. They've had a great weekend."
On making progress: "The shot count says it all. I think we have room for growth and execution in the final third, but we've got a young team and they're eager and willing to learn. This time last year we'd have taken a 5-1 win any day. We're happy with the way the game went and we're happy that we have players chipping in and scoring goals. We'll take it and move on and get better with this young team."
On McGlade: "A goal and an assist and she's just very consistent with her performances. You start to see that through the ranks – one girl comes off and the next one goes on just as eager compete and score. She didn't start today, but she started Friday night and you can see that it doesn't really matter with the rotation in the squad. They come in, play their role and do their job. She's able to contribute to the game with a goal and an assist, and just a fantastic performance for the team all around."
