MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama Director of Athletics Dr. Joel Erdmann announced Thursday that Jacob Ludwikowski has been promoted to Associate Athletic Director for Development.

Ludwikowski joined the department staff as Assistant Athletic Director for Development in August 2017, and since then has added responsibilities as the Executive Director of the Jaguar Athletic Fund and sport supervisor of both the Jaguar men's and women's golf programs.

"Jacob has made a significant impact on our department and University in the relatively short period of time.  Our development program is contemporary, sophisticated and systematic, which has cumulatively led to increased productivity," said Erdmann.  "Jacob has developed authentic relationships and trust with our donors and colleagues on campus.  We are fortunate to have him as a leader in our department."

He came to South after working the previous five years at New Orleans, during which time he served as both Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Student Services as well as for External Relations for the Privateers.  A 2007 graduate of Iowa State, he was an intern at the school before going on to receive his Juris Doctor degree from Tulane in 2015.
