Head Coach Mark Calvi
- On Patrick McBride:
"He (Patrick McBride) was fantastic against a predominantly right-handed lineup. Right-handers have given him some trouble, but he has really done well against lefties. He was super good tonight. He used his changeup well, moved his fastball around and threw enough breaking balls. He just threw a lot of strikes. He was down in the zone, up when he needed to be on guys and got some early swings and foul balls. We turned a double play for him early when he was in a little bit of a jam – he just worked fast and had that look. Pat is the kind of guy who, when he is dialed in mentally there is no question he is good enough. I've seen both sides of him. Tonight, he was dialed in; that's a very good hitting ball club that he did a nice job with."
- On the offense:
"Carter (Perkins) and Michael Sandle swung the bat really well. Ethan and Santi had home runs, and Wells Davis hit the ball hard. I think he is starting to make some minor adjustments at the plate, and that's what I feel good about. We've had some other guys swinging the bats, but he is a dangerous hitter in our lineup who has been a little bit off. Hopefully, he is on the upswing right now. We had some really good at-bats top-to-bottom of the lineup, and played very good defense. We got some timely hits and walked a bunch, but that's part of your offense. That's what you do when you have some guys working hard at the plate."
