QUOTES
Head Coach Nick Brochu
On the Match: "It was good. We struggled in doubles. I told the guys, just because we are better than them, doesn't mean these guys are going to show up and just fold. These guys came to play, and we had to make a comeback in doubles. Our energy wasn't where we wanted it in doubles. We had a good talk before singles, and the energy was there. Troy made a big push at the end, came back on some courts, but we closed the deal. It was great to see one of our senior's get the last point. He was very happy, that was a tough match for him."
What does the team need to work on heading into next week: "We still need to work on doubles. It is the one thing we have been struggling with this year. Looking at the seeds right now, it looks like we could be playing Troy in the first round next week. I told the guys it was very important to make a statement today. Because if we win quick today, and we do wind up playing them we have the mental advantage for sure."
What is the potential for this team: "If we play like wet re supposed to play, I believe we are the best team in the conference. We are better than last year, and we had great results last year. It comes down to who wants it most. A couple weeks ago we played Georgia State, and they beat us because they wanted it more. We have to show up every single day and play the first ball like it is the last ball."
