QUOTES
Head Coach Mark Calvi
- On the doubleheader sweep:
"Winning two against anybody is a tall order. I thought our guys played extremely well. They (Sacred Heart) walked a bunch in the first game, and we were patient and got some hits as well. In the second game, their starter was outstanding. I hope he is okay; he went out in the fourth or fifth (inning) with an arm injury. He was 90 to 94 (mph) and moving it around; he's as good as we've seen this year, and I thought our guys did a really nice job. JoJo (Booker) matched him pitch-for-pitch. Carter (Perkins) had a big day with RBIs and a couple of squeeze bunts, Wells Davis had some RBIs, Kaleb DeLaTorre had a good day offensively with his first home run, Santi Montiel did a nice job at the bottom of the order driving some runs in, and Nick Lewis today pitched in – we need to get him going. He is a good player who has gotten off to a slow start, but you saw some glimpses of it today offensively; I thought he did a really nice job. I'm proud of our effort all the way around. It's tough to win two in the same day, and I thought our guys were locked in, had heightened awareness and played the game the right way."
