QUOTES
Head Coach Mark Calvi
- On the series:
"I give credit to UT Arlington, I thought they played well. They played better than we did in all three phases: Â they pitched better, played better defense and got timely hits. Every time we scored, they answered right back. We didn't do a good enough job this weekend against a solid club, and that's how you get swept on the weekend."
- On his message to the team:
"We need to play better. Nobody is going to feel sorry for you. Nobody cares that you're not doing some things well. We need to do things well in a hurry. We have two very good midweek teams (Southern Miss and LSU) on the road. There's no sympathy in this game or at this level. We need to go out and play better; that's the bottom line. There are a couple of guys who need to play better. One or two guys pitching better, and one or two guys hitting better will change the dynamic of this team. Until those key guys step up and start playing better, there will be more of the same."
