QUOTES
Head Coach Nick Brochu

On the quick start: "Loic got us started. Doubles was good, we showed a lot of energy. We got the job done and got the point. We didn't have a full singles lineup, which sometimes is a little extra challenge. But everyone needs to step up, and Loic was on fire. He got a quick first set and a quick win got us on the board. He put us up 2-0 and as soon as you go up like that you can feel the momentum. Sam and Max both got the first set. We knew it was just a matter of time, but we just had to keep pressing. Sam has a lot of experience, he knew he was going to win, but kept the pressure on and finished the job."

On the overall play today: "I think the guys, they are teammates and friends on and off the court. They're here to support each other. Today we had two guys that had a bad day. They got a little angry but everyone was cheering them up. It's rare that you're going to get all six players playing 100 percent. Today we had four guys that had a good day and got us some quick wins, and that's how it works with a team."

On preparing for tomorrow's match with Georgia State: "Right now we're heading into the training room. We have to do recovery, drink a lot of water, rest up, and eat a good meal tonight. We will have a team meeting and be ready to go. We played Georgia State last year in the conference final, and the year before. Everyone knows tomorrow is potentially the fight for the regular season winner. We don't want to think about that though, we are going to enjoy it. It's always a great fight. Georgia State is a great team and they have a great coach."

Senior Sam Serrano
On winning the doubles point: "I mean the guys were playing pretty solid. We felt that we had them the whole way. We won every service game. We had some chances here and there. The break wasn't really affecting us all that much. And then, we were playing solid, holding our serve pretty well. In the tiebreaker we came through strong and got the point."

On the five minute rain delay: "It helped me a little bit, just to relax and think about the match to realize I was up. When we came back from the delay he was serving and I got another break. It helped me settle down a little bit."
