GAME FACTS
- SLU (12-12) pushed across the lone run of the game in the top of the sixth. Santi Montiel reached on a one-out single back up the middle, and advanced to second with one out on a wild pitch. QUOTES
Head Coach Mark Calvi
- On the pitching performance:
"(Jared) Proctor was really good. We pitched well tonight. It was a very well-pitched college baseball game on both sides. I'm very proud of Proctor and the effort from all of our guys."
- On the offense:
"All you can ask is to put yourself in a position to win, and we had some chances. It didn't go our way tonight, but our guys fought hard. Their effort was great, it just didn't come out our way. I respect the effort, and I'm okay with that. Sometimes games don't turn out your way; unfortunately there's been a few games not turn out our way, but I think with that effort, focus and concentration, our guys will be just fine. You just have to keep plugging, grinding and working hard."
