STANDOUT PERFORMERS
- Lyric Cabral registered her second double of the season and Kennedy Cronan and Savanna Mayo drove in the two Jaguar runs, with a home run and a RBI-single, respectively.
- Victoria Ortiz extended her current hit streak to six games with a base hit.
- Comeaux and Raina O'Neal each had three hits apiece to lead Louisiana at the plate. Comeaux score twice and drove in four on the grand slam, while O'Neal scored once.
- Alissa Dalton also had a multi-hit outing going 2-for-3 with two runs scored and three RBI. Both Dalton and Bailey Curry homered for the Ragin' Cajuns.
GAME FACTS
- Louisiana had a scoring opportunity in the opening frame as the Ragin' Cajuns had two reach in the top of the first after a pair of one-out walks, but Alexis Reid (8-11) was able to turn the 6-4-3 double play to end the inning.
- The Ragin' Cajuns put a pair of runners on their next time up after Comeaux and Kortney Gremillion both singled to start the frame. They both moved into scoring position two batters later after a ground out and then came around to score on Dalton's three-run home run – her third of the season – to right center (3-0).
- The Jaguars got a run back in the bottom of the second as Cronan lined a 1-2 pitch just over the wall in left to cut the deficit to 3-1. For Cronan, it was her seventh of the season, which leads the club.
- Louisiana answered back with a pair of runs, both coming with two outs. Curry homered to center for the first run of the inning on a high fly ball that went off Jaguar centerfielder MC Nichols' glove. Comeaux then recorded her second hit of the contest and Aeriyl Mass, pinch-running for Comeaux, then stole second and third before coming home on a wild pitch on ball four to Ko. Gremillion to extend Louisiana's lead to 5-1.
- Louisiana posted a six-run inning in the top of the fourth on three hits, two walks and a hit batter. The Ragin' Cajuns loaded the bases to start the fourth on singles by Dalton and O'Neal, and a four-pitch walk to Julia Rawls. Hudek then drew a walk of her own to plate the first run and Curry was hit by a pitch for the second of the inning. Comeaux then followed with a grand slam – her seventh home run of the season to cap off the inning.
- South was able to get another run in its half of the fourth as Katelyn Gruich reached on an infield single to begin the inning. Cabral then double to the gap in left center to put runners at second and third with two away in the inning, and Mayo lined a single to right on the first pitch of her at-bat to score Jordyn Calderon, pinch-running at third for Gruich (11-2).

THEY SAID IT
Head coach Becky Clark
- On the loss: "Today wasn't our day. I didn't really think we played well in any area. I would've liked to have seen us come back today and be sharper in all of those areas. I thought the pitching, defense and hitting were okay. Nothing really stood out to me in a positive way. If you want to get better results, then you have to play better."
