MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama volleyball program added Cassadi Colbert to the roster for the 2019 season, as announced Thursday by head coach Alexis Meeks.
Colbert joins the program after playing three years of club volleyball while being homeschooled in Claypool, Ind., and earned Homeschool National All-Tournament Team honors as a senior. Colbert also played one year for Munciana Volleyball in Yorktown, Ind., as libero.
"I am thrilled to have Cassadi here with us at South," Meeks said. "This kid is unbelievable for her age. She is one of the most mature and determined kids I have had the privilege to coach in my career. She is adding strength, an explosive presence on defense and leadership characteristics that are going to help take this team to the next level.
"She is an outstanding student as well and is a great example of the kind of kid we intend to continually bring to South. I am excited to watch her grow as a player and a person during her time here, and look forward to watching the standard she is going to create for our program."
