MOBILE, Ala. – Defending Sun Belt Conference women's tennis champion University of South Alabama will host 12 home matches in its 2020 spring schedule released Thursday.

The Jaguars have 20 dual matches scheduled plus the Blue Gray Classic, held in Montgomery, Ala.

USA opens the season with three matches over three days in Fort Myers, Fla. The Jags take on host Florida Gulf Coast on Jan. 17, then take on Iowa and Middle Tennessee, Jan. 18-19, respectively.

The home slate commences Jan. 23 against West Alabama. The homestand continues Feb. 1 with a doubleheader against UAB and Alcorn State, a Feb. 8 date vs. North Florida, and concludes Feb. 14 with Xavier (La.).

South Alabama will be one of eight teams at the Blue Gray Classic Feb. 21-22, which includes squads from Alabama, Arizona, Auburn, Princeton, SMU, Wake Forest, Yale and SMU.

The Jaguars return home Feb. 29 with a home match against Samford before starting a three-match road swing that coincides with the beginning of the conference schedule. USA goes to Texas State on March 14 and UT Arlington a day later, then makes a midweek trip to Southern Miss on March 18.

USA resumes its league schedule March 21, opening a four-match homestand against Coastal Carolina, followed by Appalachian State the next day. The Jags host Troy on March 25 and wrap it up on March 28 vs. Arkansas State.

Matches at Louisiana (April 4) and ULM (April 5) wrap up the road schedule, and the Jags finish up the regular season April 11-12 against Georgia State and Georgia Southern, respectively.

The Sun Belt Championships will be held April 23-26 in Peachtree City, Ga.
