SIXTEEN JAGUAR STUDENT-ATHLETES TAKE PART IN GRADUATION CEREMONIES

MOBILE, Ala. – A group of 16 student-athletes representing seven University of South Alabama sport programs earned their undergraduate degrees and participated in the school's fall graduation ceremonies at the Mitchell Center on Friday and Saturday.

The Jaguars' fall graduation class included seven individuals who earned all-Sun Belt Conference distinction during their competitive careers.

A trio of defensive linemen from the football program — Jordon Beaton, Tyree Turner and Jeffery Whatley — have earned all-league honors over the last two seasons, while Larry Lombard and Chris Taylor both recorded all-conference finishes at the league's men's track and field championships in their time at South.  Sacha Modica was an all-Sun Belt performer last spring while he helped the men's tennis team to back-to-back conference titles and NCAA Regional appearances in his two seasons with the program, and Carter Perkins was selected all-SBC following his junior season with the Jag baseball team.

Audrey Duren and Abi Mills were part of USA's soccer team that claimed both the Sun Belt regular-season and tournament championships this fall while earning a bid to the NCAA Tournament, and Andre Fox currently leads the Jaguar men's basketball team with a 17.1 point-per-game scoring average.

Four other members of the football program received their degrees, with the group including William Elliott, Jeremiah Littles, Khalil McDonald and Roy Yancey, with baseball's Dakota Dailey and Dayla Gulledge from the Jag softball team graduating as well at the conclusion of the fall semester.
