THEY SAID IT
Head Coach Richard Moodie

Overall thoughts: "That was the first week where we've just had one game. We looked a little bit nervous getting going – we were unsure of where the energy level was – but as the game went on, we looked to dominate and get on the ball. Overall, I'm happy with the performance. To keep a clean sheet and score three at home, you can't say you're not happy. I don't think it's our best or our worst performance, so we'll go back and figure out if we can do better for next week, getting ready for the conference tournament."

On getting two goals right before halftime: "We changed players and that's really what changed. We just needed a little burst of energy, and I thought the girls that came on – Morgan Cross, Fanney (Einarsdóttir) and Moa – did an exceptional job. They brought that energy to the game and a bit of belief. The second goal, once that went in, the shackles came off and we had a bit more freedom as we played. But it can't get to that for us to get in and dominate. We're a confidence team; when we get a goal, we just play better, but we can't wait for that moment. Thankfully, last week we were able to dig out of a Coastal Carolina result."

On holding Little Rock to only three shots: "You're looking at a back four there that's put together for the first time this year – two brand-new center backs. It just shows you the leadership with Tilly (Wilkes), Deanna (Green) and Justice – it really helps. They've grown together as the games have gone on; they've gotten more comfortable playing together. Today, to keep a clean sheet and stay undefeated at home, was a massive objective for us today."
