MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama Director of Athletics Dr. Joel Erdmann announced Monday that the school has added a football game against Tulane to the 2023 schedule.
The Jaguars will visit the Green Wave in New Orleans on Sept. 23 that fall, completing a four-week stretch in which the program will face non-Sun Belt Conference competition.  South will open the 2023 season with back-to-back home games against Eastern Kentucky and Central Michigan on Sept. 2 and 9, then go to Oklahoma State the week prior to the match-up with Tulane.
The Jags and Green Wave also have a two-game, home-and-home agreement in place, with USA scheduled to play host to Tulane on Sept. 6, 2025, before returning the trip to New Orleans Sept. 12 the next year.
In the first meeting between the two programs — which came on Sept. 7, 2013 — South earned a 41-39 victory over the Green Wave at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
