MOBILE, Ala. – With the University of South Alabama cross country program competing in Mobile on back-to-back weekends to begin the 2018 campaign, women's runner Carolien Millenaar is the guest for this week's episode of "Inside JagNation."
The sophomore from Sørvad, Denmark, was voted one of the top seven returning women to watch in the Sun Belt Conference this fall after earning third-team all-league recognition in cross country, indoor and outdoor track last season. After joining the program last August, Millenaar cross the line in 11th place at the Sun Belt Cross Country Championship to help the Jaguars to a third-place finish in the team standings before going on to add third-place results in the 5,000 meters at the conference indoor meet and in the 3,000-meter steeplechase outdoors.
During the spring Millenaar set a school record in the steeplechase at Auburn's War Eagle Invitational, ending her first year with the program among the top 10 in five different indoor and outdoor races.
