MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama women's tennis student-athlete Alexandria Stiteler has been invited to participate in the Oracle/ITA Masters this September in Malibu, Calif.

The tournament, taking place Sept. 20-23 at Pepperdine University, features the returning players of the year from each Division I conference, plus other wild card selections. Stiteler, a rising senior, has received an invitation for the third time.

The Bradenton, Fla. native will be entered into a 32-player double-elimination draw and a single-elimination mixed doubles draw.

At last season's Oracle/ITA Masters, Stiteler went 3-1 in singles and advanced to the consolation finals before withdrawing due to injury. She picked up two nationally-ranked victories, defeating No. 71 Marianna Petrei of Idaho 0-6, 7-5, 6-2, and No. 97 Claudia Herrero Garcia of Nevada 7-5, 6-0.

Stiteler went 21-8 in singles last season, was No. 111 in the final ITA singles rankings and earned First-Team all-Sun Belt Conference honors for the third time. She currently ranks first in school history in career win percentage at No. 1 singles (.803) and second in career top-flight wins (49).
