GAME FACTS
-  Hunter Stokes drew a one-out walk in the top of the second inning, and advanced to second on a failed pickoff attempt at first by Bobcat left-hander Wes Engle. QUOTES
Head Coach Mark Calvi

- On the series:
"When you look at the body of work, it was a good weekend. Our guys competed hard all weekend, we just didn't do enough to win the ballgame today. We swung the bats well, but didn't have much to show for it. We got four hits but we lined out 10 times. We made an error that cost us a run, and the walks got us today. I thought Texas State played better than us, pitched better than us and got some hits when it mattered. Today was just one of those days where we got outplayed."

- On the road trip:
"I am proud of the guys. We left on Wednesday and went 3-1 this week. Today wasn't our day, but our guys had a lot of concentration and focus over the last five days and really over the last two weeks. We've done some really good things on the mound and at the plate; we've played very sound team, winning baseball until today. But I have to give Texas State and their pitchers some credit. They did some things, made some pitches and made every single play. They botched two pickoff moves, and that was about it. We put the ball in play a bunch, but Texas State just played the game a little better than we did today."

- On Tuesday's game at Southern Miss:
"You shouldn't have to motivate these guys to play Southern Miss. Our guys and their guys know we've been neck and neck the last four or five years. Both programs have been very solid, and had solid years in terms of where we are at in the RPI and things of that nature. It's a big game for us. Southern Miss is an outstanding program. They'll have a great crowd, it will be a great atmosphere and we need to go play well."
