QUOTES
Head Coach Mark Calvi

- On the series sweep:
"I'm pleased that we beat three really good starting pitchers. Georgia Southern is young but talented, and they have some veterans on the mound. We did a really nice job with them. I thought we pitched extremely well all weekend. It was kind of an unorthodox three-game series with the day off in between, but our guys kept their focus and attention on the series and didn't get distracted. They weren't just happy with winning two games, they came out here to win today and I was pleased with their effort."

- On Noah Michael:
"I am so proud of that kid. Noah has worked extremely hard. I should have pitched him more earlier this year. He has done a fantastic job when he has been in there for us. He competes and throws strikes, and has a good changeup. I couldn't be more pleased for him and the team. It was the shot in the arm we needed on Sunday, and it just goes to show you that if you keep working and doing the right things while you're waiting to get in there then good things happen and that's what happened for Noah today. We're hoping for big things out of him, I just need him to be a version of that. We have seen it in some intrasquads and earlier this season – he has pitched against some really good teams and really held his own. Last week at Coastal Carolina, I started wondering why I didn't have him starting. I told myself that I wasn't going to make that mistake this weekend. And it's all about getting your opportunity and running with it, and I'm really proud of Noah's effort. Our guys swung the bats well, and played really good defense. Some guys are settling in at the plate, and we beat three accomplished college arms so I am really proud of our guys this weekend."

Right-hander Noah Michael
- On his first career start:
"I just tried to take advantage of the first opportunity I have gotten to start, and I just wanted to prove to Coach (Calvi) that I can do it again. Hopefully I did that today, it was just a dream come true for me. It was a lot of fun. My changeup and fastball were working well today, and I stuck with those two pitches for most of the outing."

- On pitching with a three-run lead after the first inning:
"You feel really good about yourself when you have a cushion like that. I'm real thankful for the team doing that today. It takes a lot of pressure off of you to be able to go out there and pitch your game without having to worry about getting behind or making a mistake."
