BOCA RATON, Fla. – The University of South Alabama men's tennis team (11-7) fell at FAU, 4-1, after taking the doubles point.

DOUBLES
- Loic Cloes and Clement Marzol fell on court 1 to Remi Chancerel and Gabriel Sidney 6-2.
- Santiago di Loreto and Max Lapraille picked up the first victory of the day for South with a 6-2 triumph over Arthur Stefani and Anthony Schohn on court 3.
- Sacha Modica and Olivier Gingras sealed the doubles point for the Jags on court 2 with a 6-4 victory over Jason Legall and Ignacio Garcia

SINGLES
- Lapraille fell to Thomas Bugeaud on court 6 to begin singles 6-0, 6-0.
- Marzol lost to Jason Legall 6-2, 6-4 on court 1.
- Modica was defeated by Sidney 6-4, 6-4 on court 3.
- FAU clinched the match on court four as Gonzalez fell to Garcia 7-5, 7-6 (7-5).
- Cloes took the first set 7-6 and was in a second set tiebreak when his match went unfinished.

On the loss to FAU: "Today was hard as it was extremely windy. The day started well as we took the doubles point. Our number one team had a bad day and were off, but I was happy to see our numbers two and three play big and win big matches. It went downhill from there. The lack of energy and effort was unacceptable. FAU was energized and we didn't fight back. We can't win them all, but losing like that on courts three and six is unacceptable. When you play for a team, you need to give everything you have on a good or bad day. We need to regroup and get ready for tomorrow.
