THEY SAID IT
Head Coach Nick Brochu
On the win over USF: "It was a great win today against a great program. The goal today was to stay tough no matter what. We started on fire by winning the doubles point. We were led by Loic (Cloes) and Clement (Marzol) on court one. Those guys have been on cruise control. Oli (Gingras) and Sacha (Modica) had a tough match on court two and exploded in the tiebreaker 7-0."
On singles: "We carried our positive momentum from doubles into singles and won the first set on five of the six courts. A great thing about today is that we kept on pushing ourselves hard even after securing the win at 4-0. The guys wanted all seven points. Seeing Loic and Oli come back after dropping the second set and winning in three sets shows a lot of character. Even Lucas (Gonzalez) had two match points, but fell 7-6 in the third set."
On learning from the loss to MTSU: "We learned a lot from our last match at home against MTSU. We talked about how we will need to dig harder and show more character to beat those big teams. The guys answered toady. Now we need to keep on working harder because we have two more tough matches this. It was a great team effort today."
