CONWAY, S.C. – The University of South Alabama women's tennis team swept Georgia Southern 4-0 Sunday at the Stevens Tennis Complex.
 
DOUBLES
-Junior Alina Zolotareva (Barnaul, Russia) and freshman Nikola Kohoutova (Kralupy Nad Vltavou) bested Emilia Bujan and Mila Hartig 6-1 at court 3.
-Junior Alexandria Stiteler (Bradenton, Fla.) and freshman Yu Fujioka (Funabashi, Japan) clinched the doubles point by defeating Arianne De Winter and Paula Boixader 6-3 at No. 2.
 
SINGLES
-Junior Patricia Martins (Lisbon, Portugal) started singles with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Boixader on court 6.
-Stiteler, ranked No. 99 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, put the Jaguars up 3-0 by beating De Winter 6-2, 6-4 at No. 1.
-Fujioka secured the win for USA by defeating Lindsay Truscott 7-5, 6-0 on court 3.
 
NOTES
-The win marks the eighth straight for South Alabama as the team improves to 13-1 on the season.
-Fujioka and Martins are undefeated in singles this spring. Fujioka is 13-0, and Martins is 9-0.
-Stiteler improved to 9-1 in singles and 9-4 in doubles on the season.
-Up next for the Jaguars is a match against the College of Charleston on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the College of Charleston Tennis Center at Patriots Point.
