QUOTES
Head Coach Mark Calvi
- On the loss:
"We got off to a bad start. They (ULM) scored seven runs in the second inning and that's hard to come back from, I don't care who you're playing. If you get down like that in Division I baseball, it's hard to climb back in it. I give ULM credit, they played much better than us and pitched better than us. Their starter didn't do a good job, but the difference was they pulled him out and their relievers came in and did a nice job for them. Give them credit, they outplayed us today. We need to play better in all aspects of the game moving forward; I told our guys that we need to pitch better. We have some guys who are doing well, but we don't have enough – we need to find two or three more. Our at-bats weren't good enough today. We got some hits, but the at-bats weren't good enough. The bottom line is we need to play better in all facets of the game, and put the uniform on to win. ULM wanted to win worse than we did today. I give them credit; they played better in all aspects and won the ballgame."
