JAGUAR WOMEN’S GOLF TO CO-HOST BAMA BEACH BASH

MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama and Alabama-Birmingham women's golf teams will co-host the Bama Beach Bash Friday through Sunday at the Gulf Shores Golf Club.

Play begins at 8:30 a.m. each day.

**Competing as individuals

TEE SHOTS
-USA is currently ranked third in the Sun Belt Conference with a 303.39 average and a low round of 288.
-Siti Shaari ranks sixth individually in the conference standings. She has a 74.53 average and a low round of 69 for the season. 
-Madison Connell finished sixth overall with a tournament total of 217 – one over par – at the UNF Collegiate March 5-6. Connell recorded nine birdies in three rounds, including four on the final day of competition.   
-Two Jaguars tied for fourth overall in par-3 scoring; Connell and MacKenzie Peyton each shot one under and averaged 2.92 on par-3 holes.
-Peyton tied her lowest round of the season, a one-over-par 73, and carded two birdies in the final round. 
-Shaari shot five under and averaged 4.58 on par-5 scoring, a performance which tied her for fourth overall in the category. Julie Hovland broke even on par-5 holes.
-South Alabama scored 899 and tied for eighth place in the tournament.

On co-hosting the tournament with Alabama-Birmingham and playing close to home… "It lightens the burden of hosting and hosting sort of away from home. It just makes life a little easier." 

On playing at a familiar course… "We played this tournament last year. We've been here a couple of times, so we're familiar with it."
