Opening Kick
• The Jaguars play host to Coastal Carolina in the regular-season finale.
• South will honor 19 seniors prior to kickoff of the contest.
• The Jags have an all-time mark of 5-4 on Senior Day after picking up victories each of the last two years.
• Each of USA's last four Senior Day contests have been decided by a one-score margin.
• The Chanticleers are the third first-time opponent on South's schedule this fall; the Jaguars have split the first two, falling at Memphis in September before defeating Alabama State last month.
Notes On Campbell's Coaching/Playing Career
• Campbell's 161-62 mark as a head coach includes going 33-15 over the last four years at Central Arkansas, where he guided the Bears to back-to-back NCAA Football Championship Subdivision playoff appearances.
• He has led two programs to national championships — Delta (Miss.) State in 2000 at the NCAA Division II level and Mississippi Gulf Coast C.C. to the 2007 National Junior College Athletic Association crown.
• In his first 19 seasons, no team coached by Campbell finished below .500.
• Campbell has coached on the staffs of Pat Dye (Auburn graduate assistant, 1988-89) and Jackie Sherrill (Mississippi State assistant, 2003).
• Campbell and Jaguar coordinators Kenny Edenfield and Greg Stewart were teammates on Troy's 1987 NCAA Division II national championship squad.
Baker Back In Business
Kawaan Baker tied career highs with three touchdowns and 124 all-purpose yards against Louisiana, matching another career-high with four receptions for 80 yards while carrying seven times for an additional 44. Â It was the fourth time this season the sophomore has reached the end zone on multiple occasions, and after going three games without a score he now needs one more touchdown to tie the school season record in the category as he now has 12 entering the Jaguars' final contest this fall.
Mark Set By Minter
Tra Minter finished the contest against the Ragin' Cajuns with 223 all-purpose yards, breaking the previous school season record in the category while becoming the first individual in program history to post over 1,500 in a year with the effort; he also set a new mark in the season record books with 710 kick return yards after gaining 104 on five returns.  The junior running back carried 23 times for 87 yards to also enter the top 10 on South's season record list — he stands seventh with 598 this fall — and he added a 32-yard reception on the Jaguars' opening possession of the second half which led to his five-yard touchdown that tied the game 24-24.
Catching On
Senior WR Jamarius Way paced all players in the ULL game with six catches, ending the night with 67 yards and a touchdown. Â In addition to setting a new South season record with 55 receptions, he also moved into the top five with his fifth scoring catch of the year after reaching the end zone for the third time in the last four outings. Â Way also became just the fourth individual in program history to post 100 career catches and he is also tied for sixth with Josh Magee in the all-time record books as he now has eight touchdown receptions since the start of last season.
Lawrence Leads Defense In Louisiana
S Nigel Lawrence now leads the squad with five performances with 10 or more stops after pacing all players last time out with 10, while it was the team-best sixth time in nine contests that he has accomplished the feat. Â After making his first tackle behind the line of the season last week, the senior posted another with one in the third quarter for a loss of two yards.
Force Up Front
Tyree Turner has been credited with at least one stop for loss in three of the last four contests, and with 20 in his career he moved into a tie for eighth place all-time at USA with Randy Allen.  It was his eighth of the campaign, a career-high figure for the junior who can also match his best season tackle total — he had 50 in 2016 — with four stops against the Chanticleers.
Patterson Makes A Point
Senior Gavin Patterson didn't miss a kick against the Ragin' Cajuns, making a 31-yard field goal to go along with five extra points. Â With the effort, he set the program's all-time mark with 95 PATs while he now needs just three points in the season finale to become the second Jaguar ever to score 200 in a career.
Finishing With A Flourish
QB Cole Garvin made his first start at ULL since the opening weekend of the season, ending the night 18-of-28 passing for 254 yards and two scores after entering the contest with 159 yards through the air in three appearances this fall. Â The senior added a career-high 50 yards on 12 carries as well to record more than 300 yards of total offense for the first time since he had 323 in a win over Arkansas State on Nov. 11 a year ago.
