Clemson holds a 2-1 all-time series lead over the Jaguars; however, USA defeated the Tigers 3-1 in the last meeting between the schools, which came at a tournament in Birmingham, Ala., in 1988.

South Alabama enters the tournament with a three-game winning streak after sweeping Alabama State in straight sets Tuesday in Montgomery, Ala. The Jags swept McNeese State in straight sets last weekend at the Jaguar Invitational, and closed the tournament with a five-set win over Southern Mississippi.

Auburn carries a four-game winning streak into Friday's match after defeating North Carolina and North Carolina State, 3-1 and 3-2, respectively, at the SEC-ACC Challenge in San Juan, Puerto Rico, last weekend. Clemson enters the weekend having dropped three of its last four matches. The Tigers fell to Rhode Island in four sets last weekend at the Yale Invitational in New Haven, Conn., before defeating Delaware in straight sets on Saturday. Yale then swept Clemson in straight sets to close the tournament.
