MOBILE, Ala. – In an effort to improve fan safety and efficiency of entry into Ladd-Peebles Stadium, the University of South Alabama Department of Athletics is implementing a clear bag policy for all football games at Ladd-Peebles Stadium beginning in 2017.
This policy will only be in effect for the 2017 football season and will not extend to additional South Alabama sports during the 2017-18 academic year.
This policy will limit the size and types of bags that are permitted inside the stadium, but is not a restriction on many of the items that fans have brought into the stadium in the past. Â Limiting the size and style of bags carried into the venue will aid in maintaining a safe and secure environment.
Only clear tote bags smaller than 12" x 6" x 12", one-gallon plastic freezer bags or small handheld clutch purses — no larger than 4½" x 6½"  — will be allowed in Ladd-Peebles Stadium this fall.  Prohibited bags include but are not limited to purses, backpacks, diaper bags, binocular cases, camera cases, fanny packs, luggage, any bag larger than the permissible size, and any bag that is not clear.  Guests with necessary medical items or equipment will be allowed to enter the stadium with proper inspection.
The clear bag policy is standard at all National Football League stadiums across the country, and has been implemented by numerous NCAA institutions.

Â "This policy mirrors what fellow Sun Belt institutions Appalachian State, Georgia Southern and Louisiana currently have in place, and also aligns with numerous NCAA FBS institutions and all 32 National Football League franchises."
