Team period highlights
For the fourth straight day, 7-on-7 period took the place of team period. The Jaguars worked 7-on-7 drills for 42 plays toward the end of Thursday's practice, while the offensive and defensive lines worked against each other on pass rush.

Head coach Joey Jones
On today's practice:
"It was a good day. We really stressed the fundamentals today. We need to become a great fundamental team and we are not, yet, in some areas that we need to fix. If we do that then we have a shot, but the guys can't get bored with the fundamentals and think about scheme all the time. We have to think about steps, alignment and tackling – all the things that win. We're not quite there yet. We just have to keep working."

On improving fundamentals:
"If you look at any team that is a good football team, they play well fundamentally. If you are a great athlete and have good fundamentals then you're probably going to be an NFL football player, but if you're a great athlete with below-average fundamentals then you probably aren't going to be one. It doesn't matter what kind of ability you have, it takes someone with the discipline to do the things necessary to win. All those little things add up to us winning, so we're really stressing that."
