MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama football program will face a member of the Pac-12 Conference for the first time with the announcement Wednesday that the school has signed a contract to take on UCLA.
The Jaguars and Bruins will meet at the historic Rose Bowl on Sept. 17, 2022, as USA faces a fourth school from the Golden State. Â The Jags defeated UC Davis on the road on Oct. 23, 2010, played host to Cal Poly in the 2011 season finale and are set for match-ups with San Diego State each of the next two years as part of a home-and-home agreement.
USA has already played four games against three Southeastern Conference opponents — Mississippi State twice, South Carolina and Tennessee — and taken on North Carolina State out of the Atlantic Coast Conference on two occasions.  The Jaguars will face a Big Ten school for the first time this fall with a visit to Nebraska on Sept. 12, and during the 2017 campaign are slated to take the field against its initial Big XII foe with the first of three contests against Oklahoma State.
The Jags' future schedules also includes dates with Louisiana State and Mississippi State in 2016, the 2017 opener at Mississippi and a return trip to Nebraska in the fall of '19.
