MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama women's soccer will make its first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance this Friday versus top-seed Florida State at Seminole Soccer Complex in Tallahassee, Fla., at 6 p.m. CST.

The Jaguars (14-5-3) won the 2013 Sun Belt Conference Tournament to earn an automatic bid to face the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament champion, which will host its fifth-straight NCAA Tournament first-round match this weekend.
 
USA defeated Georgia State, Arkansas State and regular-season champion Western Kentucky last weekend en route to claiming the program's first ever SBC Tournament title.
 
FSU (18-1-3) downed No. 25 Duke, No. 4 North Carolina and No. 6 Virginia Tech to take the ACC postseason crown and enter the national tournament for the 14^th year in a row.
 
These clubs meet for the sixth time on Friday, FSU having won the previous five meetings by a combined score of 20-2. The teams last met in 2009, and FSU won, 8-0. FSU holds a 3-0 advantage over the Jaguars in Tallahassee.
 
USA, winners of five straight, would advance to face the winner of Mississippi and Jackson State with a victory on Friday. The Jaguars have outscored their five most recent opponents, 11-4, and are averaging almost two-and-a-half goals per game.
