Full NFCA All-Academic Team Rankings Release

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced that the University of South Alabama softball program ranked 37th on the 2011-12 list of all-academic teams, up 12 spots from last season.

USA recorded a 3.32 grade point average, up over four-tenths of a point from 2010-11, to receive the nod.

The NFCA is the professional growth organization for fastpitch softball coaches from all competitive levels of play. USA has had either a top-50 program rank or a handful of individuals named All-Academic Scholar Athletes by the NFCA since the program’s inception in 2007.
 
"I am extremely proud of our student-athletes and their effort in the classroom,” said USA head coach Becky Clark. “I think it says a lot about the kind of young ladies we have in our program for them to have had the success they did on the field, but to also have had that same success in the classroom.  They are truly student-athletes and they do a tremendous job representing our program and South Alabama."
