MOBILE, Ala. – Friday is the priority renewal deadline for 2011 University of South Alabama football season tickets, the school’s Athletic Ticket Office announced to start the week.

Individuals who renew their season tickets for the upcoming campaign by the end of the day Friday will lock in their 2010 season ticket price as well as their guaranteed seating location for the ‘11 season.

Season tickets can be renewed three ways.  Individuals can call the USA Athletic Ticket Office between the hours of 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday at (251) 461-1USA (1872), renew online by visiting www.usajaguars.com and clicking on the “Tickets” link on the right side of the page, or by mailing in their 2011 football season ticket renewal invoice.

All accounts not renewed by the close of business on Friday will not be guaranteed the same seating location as last year.

The 2011 home schedule includes six contests, with four games against NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (formerly NCAA I-AA) opponents.  USA will play host to West Alabama on Thursday, Sept. 1, to open its third season of competition, then face Lamar on Sept. 10 — the Jags defeated the Cardinals 26-0 in Beaumont, Texas, in last year’s matchup.

Tennessee-Martin will be the opponent on Oct. 15 — which will be Homecoming weekend — while Henderson (Ark.) State returns for the second fall in a row Oct. 29 to begin a season-ending three-game homestand.  The Jags will take on Mississippi Valley State Nov. 3, their second Thursday night contest, then conclude the year on Nov. 19 against Cal Poly.

USA has compiled a 17-0 record in its first two seasons on the field, which includes home victories over Nicholls State and Georgia State last fall.  The 2011 campaign will be the first in a two-year transition to the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision (formerly NCAA I-A) level; the Jaguars will be eligible for the Sun Belt Conference title and a bowl game berth in 2013.
