MOBILE, Ala. –Four Jaguar soccer players scored to give the University of South Alabama soccer team a 4-0 victory over Louisiana-Monroe Sunday afternoon in Monroe, La.
Kasey Crowe kicked off the scoring drive when she scored on an assist from Linsey Snavely in the 11th minute.
Liz Clark doubled the score in the 51st minute on Linsey Snavely’s second assist of the night.
Kristyn Thacker tacked on a goal in the 63rd minute on an assist from Jacey chandler to give the Jags a 3-0 lead.
Kayla Conrad scored her first goal of the season from 40 yards out in the 85th minute.
“The girls played well enough to get a 1-0 lead in the first half " said USA head soccer Coach Mike Varga. “We played the best 45 minutes of soccer in the second half and it was great to get our first conference win. I look forward to being back at home for a while.”
Melissa Drish recorded seven saves and her first collegiate shutout.
ULM (2-8-1,0-2) outshot the Jags 14-12.
USA (3-7-1,1-1) returns to action Friday when they take on Florida Atlantic. Kickoff is scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m at The Cage.
