Minter finished the Jaguars’ win over Alabama State last time out with three punt returns for 88 yards — the second-highest total in the program’s record books — including scoring on a 75-yard run back following a three-and-out by the Hornet offense to begin the second half, and after adding 73 yards running back a pair of kickoffs the junior was named the Sun Belt Conference Special Teams Player of the Week.  Not only was the touchdown return the longest in school history, it was the first run back for a score since Jeremé Jones’ 54-yard effort in the 2010 season opener against Pikeville (Ky.).  Minter became just the second individual in program history to surpass 200 all-purpose yards in a game — Xavier Johnson accomplished the feat three times, the most recent in the 2016 finale against New Mexico State — as he also matched a season high with 61 yards on 12 carries to end up with a career-best 231, the fourth-highest total in the school’s record books.
