Brown helped lead the Jaguars to three wins and a 2-0 start in Sun Belt action last week, posting a 2-0 record while not allow a run in her 11 innings of work; she gave up just two hits, struck out 16 and walked just one batter. The senior began the week with two innings of scoreless relief at Southern Mississippi on Wednesday, ending a threat in the bottom of the sixth before striking out the side in the seventh to end the contest. In South’s Sun Belt opener, the right-hander tossed a complete-game, one-hit shutout against UT Arlington to pick up her eighth win of the season, retiring the first 13 batters that she faced and recording first-pitch strikes to 19 of the 24 UTA batters that she faced. Brown made her second relief appearance of the week in game two of the doubleheader against the Mavericks, picking up the win when the Jags hit a walk-off home run.
