Competing in his first 8k cross country race as a Jaguar, Potgieter placed second Saturday in the Blue Division at the Greater Louisville Classic held at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer Park and hosted by the Louisville Sports Commission.  Potgieter was just eight seconds behind Memphis’ Julian Sanchez-Pinto to place second with a time of 25:13.54, as he was one of three Jags to record a top 10 finish in helping South Alabama tie the Tigers for top team honors among the Division I teams in the field, marking the first meet win for the Jaguar men since the 2015 season.
