Carr (1-0) struck out a career-high 10 batters against two walks, and scattered six hits in 6 2/3 innings to earn his first career win in Sunday’s series finale at Georgia Southern. He fanned eight batters through his first four innings, and combined for the Jaguars’ second shutout this season.
