Beans earned two titles — in the women's long jump and triple jump — at the 2017 Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championship. Beans' victory in the long jump with a 6.14-meter mark was a personal best for the senior and broke the South Alabama school record for the event; she was just .2 meters shy of the meet record. Beans added an additional gold medal in the women's triple jump, giving the Montgomery, Ala., native first-team all-Sun Belt honors, with a 12.80-meter mark, the second consecutive year she has won the discipline.
