For the third time in as many seasons Beans advanced to the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship after recording a school-record 13.38m mark to place seventh in a field of 48 at the NCAA East Region Preliminaries.  Needing to finish among the top 12 to move on, the junior was in seventh after the opening round with a leap of 12.95m before posting her final mark on the second of three attempts.
