St. John (4-1) allowed three hits and recorded two strikeouts in seven innings in combining for the Jaguars’ second shutout of the season in Friday’s series-opening win over Arkansas State. The left-hander retired 10 of the first 11 batters he faced in the game, and allowed only two ASU runners to move into scoring position in seven frames, earning Sun Belt Conference Pitcher-of-the-Week honors on Monday.
