Johnson hit the first and second home runs of her career and was named to the all-tournament team this weekend at the Bulldog Kickoff Classic, hosted by Mississippi State, after helping the Jaguars go 3-1 at the event. Johnson’s initial shot provided USA a winning margin to open the season in a 3-2 victory over MSU. Her second blast was good for two runs against Georgia State, and Johnson also went 3-for-5 against Tennessee State with two singles, a double and two runs scored. Johnson currently leads the club in batting average, hits and home runs, is second in RBI and has an on-base percentage of .563.
