Josh Isom joined the South Alabama staff as Associate Athletic Director for Business Operations in March of 2024.
Isom serves as a member of the South Alabama athletics' senior administrative staff. In his role, he supervises and manages all business and finance functions for USA athletics including budgeting, reporting, administrative operations, purchasing, and human resources.
Prior to South Alabama, Isom served as Business Manager with the University of Tennessee's athletic business office. In this role, Isom supervised the daily business activities of the ABO including IRIS/SAP workflow approvals, HR/payroll, accounts payables and receivables, and the cashier's office.
Before Tennessee, Isom served in the University of Colorado's athletic business office as the Procurement & Payables Accountant. He began his career in college athletics as the Business & Finance Graduate Assistant with the University of North Carolina's ABO.
Isom is an active member of the College Athletic Business Management Association (CABMA) and serves as the organization's 1st Vice President.
A Valdosta, Ga native, Isom graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in Sport Management in 2015. He then earned a master's degree in Sport Administration in 2017 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA from the University of Florida in 2022.
