JUNIOR SEASON (2008):  After having her season cut short due to injury the season prior, Irvin battled back and returned to the court against New Orleans on Oct. 9, recording two digs against the Privateers…Saw action in 16 sets for the Jags, recording two assists and nine digs...Named to the Sun Belt Conference Academic Honor Roll.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2007):  Started five of the 22 matches in which she competed in before having her season cut short due to a knee injury...Recorded 53 kills, eight aces and 86 digs as a junior...Also recorded 12 block assists...Had a career-best 13 kills and 13 digs at Alabama State (10/16) one match prior to tearing the ligament in her knee...Had three block assists against the Hornets and at UALR (10/12)...Named to the Sun Belt Conference Academic Honor Roll.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2006):  Competed in 26 of South Alabama’s 29 matches as a true freshman, starting 10...Averaged 1.15 kills per game and 1.94 digs per game...Had a career-high 11 kills against Florida International (10/1) with a .375 attack percentage...Recorded a career-high 24 digs versus UALR (10/13), which are third most in a five-game match at USA…Selected to the SBC Academic Honor Roll.

AT HINSDALE HIGH SCHOOL:  Irvin was two-year varsity letterwinner at Hinsdale High School in Hinsdale, Ill... During her senior season, she helped Hinsdale to a 23-14-1 record and the school's first-ever Illinois High School Association Regional Championship... As a senior, she also was also named tri-captain of her team and led the team in service aces with 66 (a single season record), digs with 204 and was second in kills with 157... For her career, she ranks and third in aces and fifth in kills at HCHS and has played outside hitter, right side hitter, setter and defensive specialists during her prep and club careers.

PERSONAL:  Taylor P. Irvin...Has two younger sisters...Father played football at Indiana State University...Favorite professional athlete is Cleveland Browns’ quarterback, Brady Quinn...Favorite musical artist is the Dave Matthews Band...She also enjoys all Disney songs...Favorite movie is the “Gladiator”...Favorite food is Chicken Ceasar Salad...She was high school teammates with fellow Division I collegiates; Kristen Wagner (Michigan), Kristen Wilk (Yale) and Lauren Christman (St.Louis)...Majoring in Elementary Education.
