FRESHMAN SEASON (2014):
Competed in 21 sets in her 10 matches played … Made one start during the season … Had two kills in her first collegiate match vs. Memphis (9/13) … Had three kills in her next match at Appalachian State (10/3) … Posted a career-best nine kills at Texas-Arlington (11/9) … Made first collegiate start at Arkansas-Little Rock (11/16) … Had seven kills and hit .500 versus the Trojans … Named to the Sun Belt Conference Academic Honor Roll.
AT NORCROSS HIGH SCHOOL:
Lettered four years in volleyball at Norcross High School in Norcross, Ga., for head coach Jeff Cernka as an outside hitter … As a senior, helped the Lady Blue Devils capture the Area 8 AAAAAA championship and finish with a 33-17 record as she recorded 431 kills, 288 digs, 68 aces and 69 total blocks and earned honorable mention all-state honors, as well as all-Gwinnett County accolades … Was also chosen to participate in the GVCA (Georgia Volleyball Coaches Association) All-Star Game … Also lettered in basketball (four years) and track (three years) at Norcross … Member of two state championship basketball teams at Norcross playing for head coach Angie Hembree … NHS won the Georgia AAAAAA title during her junior season after finishing with a 28-5 overall record and a 15-1 mark in the region … The Lady Blue Devils were ranked 15th in the Xcellent 25 and 19th nationally and second in the state according to MaxPreps.com … Meeks was also a member of Norcross’ AAAAA state championship squad as a freshman … Was also a standout in the classroom as an honor roll student, as well as a member of her school’s STAR tutoring program … Played two years for her club team GA5 based out of Suwanee, Ga.
