Enrolled at South Alabama in January 2013 and went through spring practice.

AT TWENTS CARMEL COLLEGE AND SET-UP ‘65 CLUB TEAM:
Attended Twents Carmel College de Thij where she helped team finish first at the Mission Olympics…Played club ball for 12 years for Set-Up’65 – one of the top club teams in the Netherlands…Has been part of four national championship teams in three different age categories (11-12, 12-13 and 15-16) and has also finished as runner up once…Selected as the Most Valuable Player at the Top Youth tournament during the 2010 season…Chose USA over San Francisco, Cal Polu and Texas State.

PERSONAL:  Kiki Gerhardi von Piekartz...Born in Almelo, Overijissel, Netherlands…Daughter of Harry von Piekartz and Irma Eissink…Has one older brother and one younger sister…Mother also played for  Club Set-Up ’65 in the Netherlands…Older sister played for Pollus Oldensaal and currently plays for USC Munster in Germany…Father is a Physical Therapist and mother is a high school chemistry teacher…One of main reasons she selected South Alabama was because of its physical therapy program…Hopes to play volleyball professionally in Europe after completion of her degree…Favorite professional sports teams are USC Munster (volleyball) and FC Twente (soccer), two Dutch professional club teams…Favorite athletes are professional tennis players Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Lonneke Sloetjes…Favorite movies are “Finding Nemo” and “Love Actually”…Majoring in exercise science.
